How does it work?
While you can create backups through your MyWebHostsOnline control panel, this service automates that process. It takes a full snapshot of each database every day, and lets you restore each package and database to a previous point in the last 30 days.
How do I set up Automatic Timeline Backups?
With our Timeline Backups product, automatic snapshots of your website files and databases are taken on a daily basis, and can be restored at any point. You don't have to take any action to configure this service. Once activated, we include all of your website files and databases as standard. To view any of the previous snapshots taken, you should visit the Timeline Backups page in MyWebHostsOnline, click Manage Snapshots next to the package you are interested in and choose Restore Snapshot next to the website or database you wish to view.
How do I restore a site using Timeline Backups?
You can easily restore lost data using the Timeline Backups tool which you can order from within your WebHostsOnline account. Timeline Backups takes a backup of all your websites and databases every day automatically, and stores them for 30 days. You can restore from any available snapshot at any time.
How can I clone a site with Timeline Backups?
Timeline Backups allow you to restore data between packages, making them an ideal tool to assist with 'cloning' websites in your account. The control panel will show you when the restore is in progress. Navigating away from the page will not cancel the restore and you can view on any previous jobs by heading back into the Manage Snapshots area for “foo.com” and clicking View Jobs.
How do I view the most recent backups taken by Timeline Backups?
Timeline Backups take an automatic daily backup of all your websites and databases and store them for 30 days. If you have the Timeline Backups product you may want to view the most recent backups of your site. Select 'View Snapshots' you'll see the 'Snapshot Time' drop-down, that will have all the snapshots from the previous 30 days.
How can I backup email accounts?
Our Timeline Backups Pro service provides 30 days worth of mailbox backups for all of your e-mail accounts. You will be able to restore your mailbox data to any snapshot within the last 30 days. For extra piece of mind you can also run an on demand mailbox snapshot at anytime.
